at 6:00 A.M.

The Hoke Charge

Sandy Grove UMC and Parker UMC

invite you to join us for a celebration

of the empty tomb!

This special service by the lake

at Camp Rockfish is a very rewarding

experience. The dark, quiet night

is broken by the sound of trumpets

and the singing of birds

while we gather in front of

three large wooden crosses to

watch the sunrise and reflect

on a similar day over 2000 years

ago.

Before and after the service we will gather at

the pavilion for donuts, juice and coffee

around the campfire.

Camp Rockfish is located in the

southeastern edge of Hoke county.

From Fayetteville/Hope Mills

take Camden Road east

at the end of Camden Road

turn left, cross Davis Bridge and

turn left just after the Dollar General.

From Parker UMC/Raeford

take Fayetteville road west to Lindsay

road and turn right. At the end of Lindsay

road in Rockfish turn left and cross the

railroad tracks continue on

Rockfish road to Davis Bridge

turn left just after Dollar General.

50I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
55"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?" 56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58
